Changzhou Xinbei District, a manufacturing company specializing in mechanical finishing, has developed a low-cost, high-conversion foreign trade development path through cooperation with Changzhou TPV Information Technology Co., Ltd. Prior to this, the factory had successively entered mainstream B2B platforms and invested a total of more than 100,000 yuan in operating China Manufacturing Network and Ali International Station. However, due to the competition of the platform, the final customer acquisition effect was far less than expected, and the high marketing investment failed to be converted into effective orders.
After continuously testing large-scale platforms with little success, corporate marketing budgets are limited and there is an urgent need for a low-investment foreign trade customer acquisition plan. After much understanding, the customer finally chose to cooperate with Changzhou TPV Information. Combining the characteristics of factory products and industry pain points, we abandoned the traditional English B2B platform Red Sea track and customized a lightweight operation plan of multi-language marketing website + overseas local social media to avoid fierce competition with a differentiated approach.
The traditional comprehensive B2B platform has a large number of merchants and established stores have obvious resource advantages. If new factories want to gain exposure, they need to continue to invest in top-up, traffic, and data maintenance. Not only do operating costs remain high, but in the face of fierce price comparisons among peers, the inquiry conversion rate also continues to decline. In view of this situation, we changed our thinking: on the one hand, we built an independent marketing website in small languages, deeply explored the local market in non-English speaking areas, and faced the competition from local local suppliers. Rely on the advantages of domestic factories in technology, production capacity, and cost performance to quickly establish competitiveness; on the other hand, deploy local social media in target countries, fully localize content, operations, and promotions, without competing head-on with a large number of domestic peers, and amplify its own advantages.
After the implementation of the entire solution, it took only three months for the mechanical finishing factory to receive more than 30 high-quality overseas inquiries, and has successfully reached cooperation with two overseas customers. Many customers are still in the process of converting to Jianlian. The value of the differentiated operating model is fully demonstrated.
This cooperation proves that for customized processing physical factories, there is no need to blindly follow the trend of major mainstream platforms when conducting foreign trade overseas. Only by finding the right track, staggering competition, and deeply cultivating regional markets can we leverage high-quality orders at lower costs. In the future, Changzhou TPV Information will continue to develop a differentiated foreign trade operation system, customize exclusive overseas plans based on different industries and different product characteristics, help more traditional manufacturing factories get rid of the dilemma of acquiring customers, and steadily expand the global market.
